Already one week before the start of the Chinese New Year’s celebration, the mood at Agathon in Shanghai was very good. The employees of Agathon’s sales and service in China moved into their new premises on 8 February. These are located in the same building as the previous ones, but offer more usable space. This results in a win-win situation for Agathon and its customers. Thess new premises provide Agathon employees with even better working conditions and also greater storage capacity. The latter was particularly needed for the guiding and centering systems business, which has also picked up speed in China. This means that Agathon customers in China can be supplied even faster.

Agathon Trading (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. is responsible for the distribution of both the machines and standard parts in China. In addition, the subsidiary offers on-site service to users of Agathon machines in China. This ranges from the installation of machines, maintenance work and training up to troubleshooting.

Agathon’s China office is located in Putuo, one of Shanghai’s ten inner city districts. It is therefore easy to reach both for employees as for existing and future customers. The branch currently employs around seven people, and the trend is still rising. More than half of the current staff is assigned to service tasks. Michelle Dong, managing director of Agathon in China, emphasizes the openness of the atmosphere in the premises. Thanks to this openness and the flat hierarchy, the information flow within the organization functions perfectly. « This in turn is a catalyst for efficient teamwork and thus for the best possible service quality », says Michelle Dong.
